Steal the recipe, we dare you.

INGREDIENTS

  • The “batter”

12 eggs

½ cup orange juice

½ cup milk

⅔ cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1 or 2 loaves of brioche or challah bread

  • Butter

  • Toppings (syrup, powdered sugar, fruit…)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Make your “batter.” Combine the batter ingredients in a large mixing bowl, then transfer the mixture to a shallow baking dish. Cover & refrigerate if storing overnight.

  2. Heat a skillet & add a generous amount of butter.

  3. Cut the bread into slices.

  4. Dip a piece of bread in the batter, letting soak for a few seconds. Flip so that both sides are well-coated.

  5. Toast time. Pan fry each side of the bread until brown. Repeat for the next slice, making sure to butter the pan frequently.
